Real Estate:
1st payment taxes due November 30
2nd payment taxes due May 31
Mobile Homes:
1st payment taxes due May 31
2nd payment taxes due November 30
Personal property:
Payment due June 30, or 30 days after mailing of tax notice

Under strict statutory regulations, the Prairie County Treasurer has the following authority:
- Custody of Prairie County’s funds
- Controls the flow of money to and from the County
- Invests money for both County funds and funds of various taxing districts
- Prepares and mails annual tax notices and delinquent tax notices
- Processes tax lien sales & redemptions
- Manages the operation of the Motor Vehicle Department
